IES Sabinar is a public secondary and upper secondary school located in Roquetas de Mar (South-East of Spain). It offers ESO for 12 to 16-year-olds, Bachillerato
of Arts, Humanities and Science, and Adult Education courses. As it is a bilingual and ICT-centred school, our students are expected to improve their linguistic and technological skills, among other competences. Our school is the oldest and most reputed secondary school in Roquetas de Mar, and is fully integrated in the town's social and cultural activities; in fact, every year the Town Hall collaborates with those activities programmed within our language exchanges and European projects, that are in turn disseminated around the municipalities in the area.
Many of our students are immigrant children from Eastern Europe and North Africa, mainly. Our students are used to living together with people from other origins and with other backgrounds. This is one of our most cherished values, an example of integration which is, in our opinion, worth exporting to other EU countries. This model of integration of cultural diversity is favoured by an organisational model of school management that supports, among other initiatives, the internationalisation of our school.

Istituto Comprensivo Mazzarino is a public school located in various buildings in Mazzarino, in the centre of Sicily. It offers compulsory education to 3-to-14-year-old students. It has about 1150 pupils and 120 teachers. As it is a school specialised in music, many of our students study musical instruments: guitar, piano, flute, clarinet and violin and we have a school orchestra. We also have science, IT, language and music laboratories, as well as facilities for PE: gyms and outdoor playgrounds. We can also use municipal sport grounds.
Istituto Comprensivo is fully integrated in the town's social and cultural activities. Actually, it usually counts on the City Council's help and collaboration to carry out extra-curricular, cultural and leisure activities. We also have a close partnership with Istituto Carlo M. Carafa, the secondary school in Mazzarino; we cooperate with them to orientate our students for their future choices, IT activities, teacher training and dissemination of Erasmus+ projects each school carries forward.

Mihai Eminescu Secondary School is the oldest public school in Rosiorii de Vede and is considered the best school in the area. There are about 800 learners from 6 to 14 years old on two levels: primary and secondary school. There are 70 teachers for all levels of studies. In spite of the economical problems we had to face, our school is equipped on an European level thanks to the efforts made by the teachers and parents’ association. There are several labs, two gymnasiums and an amphitheatre. These facilities make our school a better place and the lessons more accessible and amusing.
Our pupils have had very good results in regional and national contests in different subjects. Pupils from secondary school have participated on different projects related to the protection of the environment. In 2015 we won the first national prize with a project on environmental education called “Children can save the Blue Planet”. This project involved our children in different actions and had great support from the local authorities. It would be very useful for them to exchange knowledge in this field with students from different parts of Europe.

Jüri Gymnasium school complex consists of five institutions: Jüri Gymnasium, Rae Hobby School, Rae Sport Centre, Jüri Library and Jüri Youth Centre. We are located in the vicinity of Tallinn (in Rae parish), and our area has a well-developed infrastructure, many industrial businesses and a strong community.
Jüri Gymnasium municipal school has primary, secondary and upper secondary school. The number of students is growing from year to year and is currently around 1150, in forms 1 through 12. Approximately 110 teachers lead the learning process. Our curriculum emphasizes foreign languages (English, Russian, German, Spanish and Finnish), mathematics, sports, culture. In addition to the school administration, the Support Centre (including a psychologist and a speech therapist) handles students’ social and behavioural adjustment. Though there are some students with special needs, we don’t have any refugees or migrants yet.

Liemers College Heerenmäten for secondary and pre-university education is a regional school in Zevenaar, located between Arnhem and the German border, also the region of the big rivers Rhine and Ijssel. Our pupils hail from the relatively small city of Zevenaar and the surrounding villages in the country; characteristic of the region is the human scale of things. At Heerenmäten, youngsters of 15-18 years of age apply themselves to mastering the higher levels of secondary and pre-university education.

RSG ‘t Rijks is a large comprehensive school offering general secondary education at different levels (MAVO, HAVO, VWO, Gymnasium). The school is situated in Bergen op Zoom in the Southwest of The Netherlands and is home to 2750 students and 230 staff. It has a modern approach towards developing individual talents. Its view on learning, as well as its international focus, inspires and visualises a possible direction for modern education systems. The school offers a number of special options like culture classes, sports classes, bilingual (TTO) classes, WON and Technasium (science) classes to cater for the needs of students with specific interests. The school also has facilities for talented students in top sports and arts (LOOT and LOOK students).
RSG 't Rijks has aimed to provide its students with an international dimension in addition to academic training for more than 30 years now, initially through unilateral and bilateral exchange projects, and in the past 10 years also through an increasing number of Comenius projects, participation in Euroscola, EYP, MUN, European Studies and other similar projects. As a school we aim to offer all 2750 students at least one international experience in the course of their school career. This guarantees that students are stimulated and motivated, that deadlines are met and outcomes are realised and presented.
